ADMISSION INTO MCMASTER PA PROGRAM

The following information is taken from the McMaster PA Education Handout. Please visit the websites at the bottom of this page for official information.

McMaster Physician Assistant Education Program Information Night: November 23, 2016 7:00PM in HSC1A1

Applicant Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of undergraduate work (no specific course requirements)
  • Overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on OMSAS 4.0 scale for consideration (OMSAS Scale)

Deadline for Application for September 2017 Entry: February 1st, 2017
  • Via the Ontario Universities' Application Centre 
  • Send transcript to Registrar's Office (Gilmour Hall, Room 109)
  • Transcript must include Fall 2016 grades

Supplementary Application:
  • Access will be sent by email in late-February
  • Complete the Supplementary Application and submit the $85 supplementary application fee

Interviews:
  • Invitation to interview will be emailed by early April
  • 70-80 applicants invited for interview (MMI)
  • Interviews held by mid-May

Number of students admitted: 24 students

Upon acceptance, successful applicants will be required to provide:
  • Record of completion of required immunizations
  • Evidence of Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (Adult and Child CPR) 
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check (at the applicant’s expense)
